Custom Leather Patches And Manufacturing Process
Leather patches are custom apparel accessories made from natural leather, PU leather, or microfiber leather, primarily used in jeans, jackets, hats, bags, footwear, and high-end fashion products. Compared to traditional woven or embroidered labels, leather patches offer a superior texture, greater durability, and a unique vintage and sophisticated visual effect.
Through processes such as embossing, hot stamping, laser engraving, screen printing, and metal integration, brand logos, text, patterns, or special textures can be displayed on the leather surface, achieving personalized brand presentation. There are three main leather structures: single-layer, multi-layer, and riveted.

Four Leather Options

Genuine Leather Label
Made from natural animal hide, genuine leather labels retain the material's inherent grain, pores, and tactile qualities, offering a feel that is both sturdy and supple. With excellent breathability, they allow for the crisp rendering of brand logos via hot stamping or embossing, thereby enhancing the product's overall quality and appeal.

Faux Leather Label
Faux leather labels are made from synthetic materials such as PU or PVC and serve as an affordable alternative to genuine leather. Thanks to mass production capabilities, they offer a price advantage over genuine leather labels and provide superior color consistency. They are easy to cut and sew, wrinkle-resistant, and low-maintenance.

Microfiber Leather Label
Unlike overlock stitching, heat-cut fabric patches have smooth, clean edges. If your design is intricate and complex, heat-cutting is a better option.

Reconstituted Leather Label
Overlock chenille patches have a distinct raised ring around the edge, suitable for regularly shaped patches, such as rectangles and squares. The width is generally set at 2-5 mm, and it has a wider range of applications, commonly seen in clothing and backpacks.
Leather Patches Application Cases
Leather patches are very common in the apparel industry, appearing on denim clothing, hats, and packaging bags, such as denim jacket tags, cowboy hat logos, baseball caps, trucker hats, and canvas bags.
These leather patches add a retro design feel to products, enhancing their value and brand image, and increasing brand recognition. Different printing techniques can also produce different effects.

Custom Leather Patches for Hats
On baseball caps, trucker hats, or other outdoor hats, a relatively large leather patch is typically used as the brand logo, with a diameter of 4-6 cm. The design is created using embossing, debossing, or embroidery.
Regarding placement, the patch is usually located in the center of the front or on the side of the hat, which significantly enhances the overall appearance. Furthermore, since these are outdoor hats, stitching is the most common method of adhesion, ensuring long-lasting bonding and preventing the patch from falling off.

Custom Leather Patches On Jeans
Leather patches on jeans are typically installed on the back of the waistband, between the belt loops, to display the brand logo, text, graphics, or collection information.
Compared to ordinary woven or printed labels, leather tags on jeans offer a stronger three-dimensional effect, durability, and a premium feel, making them an important design element for apparel brands to enhance product recognition. Classic denim brands often use genuine or imitation leather tags, and create unique brand identities through techniques such as embossing and metal embellishments.
A specially customized leather patch can leave a lasting impression on customers.
Leather Patches Vs Embroidered Patches: How to choose?

| Design Style | Premium, vintage, outdoor, workwear style | Classic, sporty, casual, fashion style |
