5 Paper Material Options
In the apparel or luggage industry, plastic hangtags are often used in combination with a card made of a different material; the plastic card serves as a secondary tag, while the paper card acts as the primary tag. The transparent plastic card may serve a decorative purpose or display the brand logo, whereas the primary paper card presents more detailed information, such as price, place of origin, and the official website.
Plastic hang tag + Kraft paper hang tag
This clothing tag set consists of a transparent plastic card and a kraft paper tag—a common design in the apparel industry. A minimalist logo is printed on the plastic card, while text and other details appear on the kraft paper. The two pieces are fastened together using a cotton cord or a safety pin; this combination is particularly well-suited for items such as sweaters, jeans, hoodies, and outerwear.
Colored Plastic Hang Tag + White Hang Tag

How Do You Choose Plastic Hang Tags?
Rigid PVC Tags & Soft PVC Tags
Rigid PVC tags are suitable for a wide range of products; however, due to environmental concerns, their usage is declining in favor of pure paperboard tags. Additionally, custom-producing PVC tags is relatively difficult and costly.
For safety reasons, soft PVC tags have been replaced by silicone alternatives. If you require a transparent look, you might consider lightweight, thin TPU tags.
Frosted PVC Tags & Transparent PVC Tags
Frosted PVC tags feature a hazy, mist-like finish—often referred to as “semi-transparent”—offering a tactile and visual experience distinct from fully transparent tags and exuding a premium feel.
In contrast, fully transparent PVC tags allow the content behind them to be seen clearly; they are often paired with paper tags to create a coordinated tag set.
