Silicone labels offer greater flexibility than PVC labels, allowing for bending and folding, making them ideal for clothing, hats, and footwear—products that come into contact with the human body.
Secondly, silicone does not easily absorb water, making it suitable for swimwear, sportswear, and outdoor backpacks. Furthermore, it won’t fade or damage even after prolonged friction.
Most importantly, silicone is safer. Silicone can withstand temperatures from -60°C to 230°C, while PVC is limited to -10°C to 60°C. Silicone also meets OEKO-TEX and children’s clothing standards, while PVC labels contain plasticizers, which can pose a safety risk to infant and toddler clothing.
What is silicone heat transfer label?
Silicone Heat Transfer Labels are labels made of silicone and applied directly to the surface of clothing, bags, shoes, and other products via heat transfer. No sewing is required, resulting in a more seamless integration with the fabric. They are commonly used in sportswear, outdoor clothing, swimwear, underwear, and functional apparel.
Their biggest advantage is combining the soft, three-dimensional texture of silicone with the seamless installation of heat transfer labels. Patterns, logos, or text can be created in flat, 2D raised, or 3D effects, and multiple colors are available.
Regarding applying Silicone Heat Transfer Labels to clothing or other products, we recommend two methods:
For mass production: Use an industrial heat press, approximately 10-20 seconds.
DIY: A household iron can also achieve a similar effect, pressing evenly for approximately 15-25 seconds.
